WHAT IS HOLON?

Holon is a prefabricated building. A prefabricated building (also known as a “prefab” or “modular building”) is a building that is constructed off-site at a climate-controlled facility. They are manufactured using factory-made units or “modules”. Then, the parts are delivered to the building site and assembled, using cranes and other construction machinery. Prefabrication allows companies to spend time building parts in advance – such as walls, light fixtures, and more. Then, they can quickly and easily construct them on-site. Unlike traditional construction, the assembly of prefabricated buildings requires minimal skilled labor, foundation requirements, and special equipment.

Worlds first zero-concrete building was launched in the UAE !

On December 11, 2023, Mohamed Ali Alabbar, founder&chairman of EmaarGroup, and Zhang Yue, Chairman of BROADGroup, jointly attended the signing ceremony of a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement between Eagle Hills, the Abu Dhabi based private real estate investment and development company founded by Mr. Alabbar, and BROAD Holon.Prior to the signing ceremony, the parties had already entered into agreement to collaborate on the worlds first zero-concrete, factory-made pilot building project. The first batch of building modules will be manufactured in China and transported to the UAE for installation. Subsequently, a Holon plant with production capacity of tens of thousands square meters of Holon modules daily will be established in the UAE, servicing the entire Middle East. This ambitious move aims to revolutionize the construction industry in the Middle East by promotingde-concrete and low-carbon practices.
